Sri Lanka Tropical Beaches

Sri Lanka has more than 1500 kilometers of exotic beaches. From east to west, each beach has its own unique character, swaying palm trees, tropical golden beaches, undiscovered gems and cute bays.
For the best beaches it is best to go to the South coast. Tourism is most developed there, you will find cozy beach bars but also unknown quiet beaches. Some coastal towns are perfect if you want to surf.

The most pristine coastline is located in the east of the island. Trimcomalee is located in the east of Sri Lanka. The pearly white beaches of Niveli Beach and the blue sea make this beach a paradise. It is a nice beach destination for those looking for peace.

Negombo beach is a famous place to stay when you finish your holiday and go back home. It is close to Bandaranaike International Airport. At the beach Negombo you can meet many local people, who are on the beach when the sun goes down, playing cricket, football and Volleybal.

Bentota also know as Ventura Beach, located South of Colombo, on the west coast. Bentota was one of the first beaches to see large scale tourism development thanks to its wide golden sands and safe swimming conditions. Bentota is the place to stay at resorts that specialize in medicine centers and relaxing spa.

Hikkaduwa Beach located South of Colombo, on the west coast has some stunning beaches with dreamy sunsets and a party atmosphere at night. Hikkaduwa is known for serving delicious seafood curries. The beach stretches on spanning miles.
