DAY 1: Negombo / Pinnawala / Dambulla

 

Early morning at 6:30, We leave for Pinnawala, On the route we stop at a Pineapple garden, after this visit we proceed to the Elephant Orphange in Pinnawala. Around 9:15 start the feeding time, The Baby Elephants getting their milk, Around 10:00 the Elephants going for a bath in the river. We proceed to the Elephant riding place, there you can ride on a Elephant through the jungle. After this visit we proceed to Dambulla. In Dambulla we will sightseeing the city and visit one of the biggest vegetables market in Sri lanka after this visit we proceed and visit the Dambulla Caves. The Dambulla Caves Dating back to the 1st century BC, this is the most impressive cave temple in Asia. It has five caves under a vast overhanging rock, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. In 1938 the architecture was embellished with arched colonnades and gabled entrances. Inside the caves, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images following the contours of the rock. After we visit the Dambulla Caves we proceed to Pelwehera Resort in Dambulla.

 

DAY 2: Dambulla / Anuradhapura / Dambulla

 

After breakfast we proceed to Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of ancient Lankan civilization. From the 4th century BC, it was the capital of Sri Lanka until the beginning of the 11th century AD. During this period it remained one of the most stable and durable centers of political power and urban life in South Asia. The ancient city, considered sacred to the Buddhist world, is today surrounded by monasteries covering an area of over sixteen square miles (40 km²). We wil visit the Sri Maha Bodhi An offshoot of the historical Bodhi tree under which Buddha became enlightened was planted in Anuradhapura in 288 BC, Abhayagiri Dagaba, This is one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage towns and extensive ruins in the world. Ruwanwelisaya Stupa is considered a marvel for its architectural qualities.Thuparamaya Collarbone of Buddha is enshrined in the chetiya of Thuparamaya. It is the first dagaba built in Sri Lanka. Lovamahapaya Also known as Brazen Palace Lovamahapaya is a complex which was once a structure of its own class. Jetavanaramaya This is the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. It was the third largest structure in the ancient world. Mirisaveti Stupa It was built by King Dutugamunu after defeating King Elara. A legend associates it with the relics of Lord Buddha. Lankarama This is a stupa constructed by King Valagamba in an ancient place. After we visit Anuradhapura we proceed to the Pelwehera Resort.

 

DAY 3: Dambulla / Polonnaruwa / Minneriya / Dambulla

 

After breakfast we proceed to Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa The second most ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 CE to reunite the country once more under a local leader. Sri Lanka's medieval capital (11th - 12th Century AD) is a well-preserved city of ancient dagobas, moonstones, beautiful parks, massive buildings and stunningly beautiful statues. The majestic King's Council Chamber, the Lotus Bath, the Lanka Thilaka Viharaya, the Gal Viharaya (rock temple) and the statue of one of Polonnaruwa's great kings, Parakramabahu, are a few of this capital's memorable sights. After this visit we proceed and visit a wood carving factory. After this visit we proceed to the Minneriya National Park. In the Minneriya National park we start the wild life safari. After the wild life safari we proceed back to the Pelwehera Resort.

 

DAY 4: Dambulla / Sigiriya / Matale / Kandy

 

After breakfast we We drive to Sigiriya, Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace ruin, We start climbing the rock. after we are back from the top of the rock and you like it you can take a ride on a Elephant. After this we proceed to Matale, In Matale we will visit a big Hindu Temple after this visit we proceed to Kandy. In Kandy we will visit the Temple of the Tooth and in the evening the kandyan Dancers. After we have seen this we proceed to the ThiLanka Hotel.

 

DAY 5: Kandy / Ramboda / Labookellie / Nuwara Eliya

 

After breakfast we will sightseeing Kandy City and we visit the Botanical garden. After we have seen this we proceed via the Ramboda Pass to Nuwara Eliya sightseeing the city. After our visit at Nuwara Eliya we proceed to the Ramboda waterfalls, after we visit the waterfalls we proceed to Labookellie where we will visit the tea factory. After this visit we proceed to the Binota Residence.

 

DAY 6: Nuwara Eliya / Kitulgala

 

After breakfast we proceed to Kitulgala. The Kelani River (the broadest river in Sri Lanka) flowing through Kitulgala was the main location where the Oscar winning movie Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. Here we go for White Water Rafting adventure. After we have finished the White Water Rafting we proceed back to your Hotel.

DAY 1: Negombo / Pinnawala / Kandy

 

Early morning at 6:30, We leave for Kandy, On the route we stop at a Pineapple garden, after this visit we proceed to the Elephant Orphange in Pinnawala. Around 9:15 start the feeding time, The Baby Elephants getting their milk, Around 10:00 the Elephants going for a bath in the river. we proceed to the Elephant riding place, here you can decide to take a ride on a Elephant through the jungle. We proceed to Kandy, The name Kandy is derived from the Sinhalese. (The Portuguese shortened this to "Candea", using the name for both the kingdom and its capital Senkadagalapura. In Sinhala, Kandy is called Maha Nuvara, meaning "Great City" or "Capital", although this is most often shortened to Nuvara). We will visit a spice and herbal garden. After that we going to the Botanical garden. After we visit the Botanical Garden we proceed to the Kandy Temple, Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Tooth , we visit the gem museum, see a batic factory, silk factory. Witness a Kandyan Dance Performance by night, We stay the night in Kandy at the ThiLanka Hotel.

 

DAY 2: Kandy / Ramboda / Labookellie / Nuwara Eliya

 

After breakfast we drive through the Ramboda pass to Labookellie. On route we will stop at the Ramboda Waterfalls after we have seen the waterfalls we proceed to visit a tea factory in Labookellie. After we have seen the tea factory we proceed to the Binota Residence.

 

DAY 3: Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains & Worlds End / Nuwara Eliya

 

After breakfast we proceed to the Horton Plains. Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 metres (6,900–7,500 ft) is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. The sheer precipice of World's End and Baker's Falls are among the tourist attractions of the park. After our visit at the Horton Plains we proceed to Nuwara Eliya. In Nuwara Eliya we sightseeing the city and after we have seen this we proceed back to the Binota Residence.

 

DAY 4: Nuwara Eliya / Train Trip to Ella / Ella

 

After breakfast we proceed to the Nanu Oya railway station where we take the train to Ella. Ella is a beautiful small sleepy town on the southern edge of Sri Lanka's Hill Country. It's situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, with small vegetable plots in the valleys, tea plantations on the hill slopes and forests on the tops. You can enjoy the picturesque scenery in the hill country. We stay the night in the Ella Gap & Panorama Guesthouse.

 

DAY 5: Ella / Yala

 

After Breakfast we proceed to Tissa. On route we will stop at the Ella waterfalls after we visit the waterfalls we proceed to Tissa. In Tissahamarana we will start the Wild Life safari in the Yala National Park. After the Wild Life Safari we proceed back to Tissa where you stay the night in the Hibiscus Garden Hotel.

 

DAY 6: Yala / Galle / Hikkaduwa / Kosgoda / Colombo

 

After breakfast we will proceed to Hambanthota, Matara and Galle, Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in south and southeast Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. When we arrived in Galle we will visit the Dutch fort, the Galle Museum, a old Dutch church and the British church, We proceed and see the stick Fishermen sit on sticks while fishing in the traditional way. After this visit we proceed to Hikkaduwa. Hikkaduwa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It is located in the Southern Province, about 20 km north-west of Galle. We go with a glass bottom boat and watch the corals, if you like it you can go snorkeling. After we visit Hikkaduwa we proceed to the Kosgoda's Marine Turtle hatchery - a valuable conservation project that protects the endangered Marine Turtles of Sri Lanka. Globally, all seven species of marine turtles existing are endangered. Out of these seven, five species of sea turtles come ashore to nest in Sri Lanka. The process of marine turtles nesting, hatchlings being born, and swimming back to sea is an ancient and phenomenal ritual that is fascinating to observe. After we have seen this we proceed back to your hotel.
